Recruiting Roadmap: Foundations was created for families who want to understand the lacrosse recruiting process before it becomes overwhelming, expensive, or emotionally draining. Most recruiting confusion doesn’t come from lack of effort. It comes from lack of context. Families are often willing to work hard, attend events, and invest time and money — but they’re doing so without a clear understanding of how recruiting actually works, how timelines unfold, or how to interpret what they’re seeing along the way. This course is designed to solve that problem. Foundations provides a clear, honest overview of the recruiting landscape — including competition, timing, showcases, rankings, and the mental toll of the process — so families can make calmer, better decisions without pressure or guesswork. This is not a step-by-step recruiting plan. It does not include scripts, timelines, or checklists. Instead, Foundations focuses on how to think about recruiting, not what to do next. When families understand the process, they stop reacting emotionally, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and move forward with confidence — at their own pace. That clarity is the goal of this course.

I’ve spent decades in the lacrosse world as a coach, educator, and parent, working with athletes at every stage of the recruiting process. I’ve coached at the high school and national levels, guided players who have gone on to compete at programs such as Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, and other top college programs, and served as a head coach in the Premier Lacrosse League.  I’ve also navigated the recruiting process firsthand as a parent, guiding my own sons from youth lacrosse through college commitments at Duke, UVA and UNC. What that experience has taught me is this: Most recruiting stress doesn’t come from lack of talent or effort. It comes from misunderstanding how the process actually works. Families are often willing to invest time, energy, and money, but they’re doing so without clear context around competition, timing, and expectations. That confusion leads to unnecessary pressure, overspending, and emotional decision-making. I created Recruiting Roadmap: Foundations to give families the perspective I wish more people had early in the process — before recruiting becomes overwhelming or reactive. This course reflects how recruiting truly unfolds, not how it’s often marketed.  My goal is to provide clarity, honesty, and calm — so families can move forward with confidence and make decisions that align with their goals.
